Why is the Festival of Vintage a 'must visit' for Vintage fans

from Across the UK?

New for 2020 Festival of Vintage East takes place in 2 buildings of the East of England Arena, East of England Showground, Peterborough. Plus we will be having an extensive outdoor area for a Classic Vehicles, Displays and Vintage Funfair. There is plenty to see and do! This event is so much more than a vintage fair, its a whole vintage weekender!


Explore the Nostalgia Hall with the Main 'Rockin Stage' and Dance Floor. Bar & Refreshments, Original Vintage Shopping, Vinyl corner, Vintage Inspired Area & Vintage Hair Parlour. Plus a fantastic selection of specialist selling Art Deco, Atomic & Utility Home Items form the 1930's-1960's.


The Vintage Arcade which is packed to the rafters with arguably the Best selection of early vintage fashion in the UK.  You will also find the Victory Stage & Dance Area and plus several DJ's across the different buildings and a Vintage Talk Corner.

A-Train Swing consists of husband and wife team, Ian (aka Windy) and Janet who have been on the vintage scene for the past 17 years embracing and promoting the Golden Age of Swing. DJ Windy is not only a Swing DJ, in addition they organise their own dance events and also get hired to add sophistication and style to private and corporate events and parties.

Ian & Janet are pleased to be able to pass on some of their dancing knowledge and will be teaching Balboa at this years Festival of Vintage. No need for any previous experience, the lesson will be aimed at absolute beginners to get you moving on that dance floor before the weekend is over.

The Swing Cats are a dance team brought together by the love of vintage dance and music. We want to share our passion and joy for swing dance nationwide and our aim is to get people dancing so they can become part of a large, friendly social dance scene which welcomes people of all ages. But most importantly, we want you to have fun! 

Tom Powell from Grassington runs the group with his partner Ellie Wilson and together, they have won several swing dance competitions (Tom won the one here last year!), as well as dancing on period dramas for the BBC! We are honoured to have been asked to teach at this year’s Festival of Vintage and we look forward to dancing to all the wonderful musicians!

York Vintage Dance Group run dance classes for beginners and intermediates in a wide range of dances and styles from the 1920's, 30's, 40's & 1950's, at two local venues in York and also at the Milton Rooms in Malton. A collaborative effort brought to you by Maggie Mae’s Vintage and The House of Foxy. Showcasing key outfits from the 1930s and 40s in both authentic vintage, vintage reproduction and how we might wear a mixture of both. We will be discussing design and manufacture elements and the extra details that can really top off you vintage outfit.
